PBS has unveiled a new web only TV show called, Nerd TV. I
wonder if it is a TV show or is a web TV show. The discussion we had in class
about convergence again appears fuzzy. If I am chatting to a friend, writing
this blog, watching nerd TV and listening to Death Cab For Cutie all from my PC….is
that computer time, online time, music time or social time?
Nerd TV features interviews with Google CEO Eric Schmidt,
Linux inventor Linus Torvalds, Apple Computer co-founder Steve Wozniak, Sun
Microsystems co-founder Bill Joy, Macintosh operating system programmer Andy
Hertzfeld, and Doug Engelbart, inventor of the computer mouse; among others.
Also
PBS has started Podcasting will we see more and more of this from “traditional”
media.
Thanks to this article for the information.

Some folks from the iCOM program and the Digital
Storytelling Masters specifically are heading down to Mississippi
and Louisiana
to help and document the disaster. I wish them the best of luck and hope they
help in any way they can.

Worked this weekend on my project proposal for 632. I
will be making a short film based on an idea I had before school started.
Basically, it is the story of how two people tell the story of their
interpretation of a personal ad. I
thought it would be cool to mix some live action and animation. The stories
will also be very different based on the same catalyst so I hope it might say
something about story creation. I should have the script done this week. Write Comment (661 Comments) |
